Sort, Straighten, Sweep, Standardize
An advanced form of "good housekeeping" for factories, based on the Japanese "3S" concept (Sort, Straighten, Sweep - from "seiri, seiton, seisou") plus the fourth "S" of Standardize (or Systematize, from “seidoka). A popular alternative version has the 4th S as “Sustain” (cleanliness and order — from "seiketsu"). See also 3S and 5S.
