What does NDS mean in Gaming?

Also known as the DS, this handheld system was made by Japanese gaming company, Nintendo and is a spiritual successor to the Game Boy line of handheld game systems. The DS received 4 models; the DS, the DS Lite, the DSi, and the DSi XL, with a follow-up system, the 3DS, with got it's own series of updates, with the 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, and the most recent New 3DS. The difference between the 3DS and its predecessor is that the 3DS can support more detailed 3D models and can display a 3D image without the need for special glasses. It also has its own titles that cannot be played on the original DS.
