What does REO mean?

Reo
Reo is an unincorporated community in Spencer County, Indiana, United States. The newest community in Spencer County, it lies at the intersection of State Roads 66 and 161 and is named for three cities to which they travel: Rockport, the county seat of Spencer County, is three miles east of Reo. Evansville, southwestern Indiana's largest city, is 28 miles west of Reo. Owensboro, Kentucky's third-largest city, is nine miles south of Reo. Reo is home to several subdivisions, a bank, two schools, a popular five-screen drive-in movie theater, a gas station/Wendy's restaurant and four automobile dealerships, along with a number of other businesses. As it is an unincorporated community, census figures are not available, but several hundred people reside there. It is also the approximate location of South Spencer High School and South Spencer Middle School.
