Weis is a privately owned Australian company producing frozen ice confectionery and frozen fruit desserts for domestic and international markets. The company is owned and operated by a second generation of the Weis family.The manufacturing plant is located in Toowoomba, Queensland with the sales and marketing office in Toowong, Queensland. Weis have been exporting to countries all over the world for over 10 years. Weis are most well known for their bar shaped fruit ice creams known as Weis Bars. They are sold at most Australian milkbars for around A$2.50 and in boxes of 8 mini bars or 4 regular-sized bars at most supermarkets. The original Weis Fruito Bar was developed by Cyril Weis in the 1930s and was sold from his own corner store in Toowoomba. Production ceased due to wartime rationing of cream, fruit and sugar but in 1957 the production of the Weis Fruito Bar was relaunched in Toowoomba. The Weis Fruito Bar contains Pineapple, Banana and Passionfruit.
