Photobiomodualtion Therapy
Red and NIR light are poorly absorbed (do not generate heat) but are highly transmitted (pass through our tissue). Their effects include reducing oxidative stress and stimulating mitochondrial ATP (energy) production to accelerate our body’s healing processes and reduce pain and inflammation. In the medical literature Red & NIR light therapy is referred to as Photobiomodualtion Therapy or PBMT
